MYSELF
I desire to be an individual
who knows what he wants in life,
whether it would be a new house, a new car,
or maybe three kids and a wife.I want to understand the meaning
of why I am here and my human existence,
whether it would be a milkman, lawyer,
or an unemployed husband with great persistence.I need to leave others behind
because being myself I could never follow,
whether it would be an idol, a close friend,
or even a love for whom it would be hard to swallow.I leave behind to you a feeling of myself
that will grow and hopefully last,
whether it is good or bad, acceptable or regretful,
or a whisper of my unforgivable past.
