JUPITER '88'
The horror heard of screaming little girls,
phrases such as "no way out" and I can't swim"
expressed the energy bounded with each struggle.
Conditions of anxiety, fear, and confusion surrounded the ship.
Anticipation of the next move while being pulled in all directions,
suggested the symptoms of drowning: conflict and dominance,
interpersonal distress, and conflictual dependence.
No helpful cues were given
as the girl's allied disciplines and behavioral counterparts
sunk into the cold, deep, and salty water.
Their rationale of life, a dimension never before encountered,
was swallowed with the last breath of air.
The only evidence of the traumatic occurrence,
was a list of passengers and an invoice of cargo
floating side by side against the brutal waves.![]()
